Another great episode of the RedHatBlueHat Political Podcast is ready for your listening pleasure. This week we talked about McCain’s dreadful appearance on the NBC Today Show. This was the interview with Matt Lauer where McCain suggested re-distributing the wealth of the oil companies and stated that it didn’t matter when troops came home from Iraq. Overall, a fine performance from McCain [/sarcasm]. We all seemed to agree that this “sharing of profits” was socialist in nature and disagreed with McCain, wholeheartedly.
Due to McCain’s statement about the war, we again discussed the war, whether it was right or not, how were going to get out, when we were going to get out, and the results in the region once we are out. We also discussed how things might be different had 9/11 not occurred and we had not gone to war. How would Bush’s presidency have transpired? What would be different? Would he have been elected to a second term? All very interesting questions that really have little bearing on the current election cycle, but are fun to discuss, nonetheless.
I believe this was one of our most passionate shows, to date. Nerves were touched and positions defended with great fervency. Definitely not to be missed!
